Our first proper glimpse of Monument Valley. If you’ve ever watched a John Wayne western, you’ve probably seen this famous landmark. And one other tidbit for those movie buffs: If you follow along the right hand side of the road in the photo, you’ll see a small, green mile marker sign. It was at this spot in Forrest Gump that Forrest quit running and turned around.
